Join Historic Newton! The Newton Historical Society was founded in 1953 as The Friends of the Jackson Homestead. In 1982, The Friends became the Newton Historical Society, and are now a part of Historic Newton. Today Historic Newton plays an essential role in a public/private partnership between the City of Newton and the community. Please join our efforts to preserve Newton history by becoming a member of Historic Newton. You'll enjoy a wide array of benefits -- free admission to the museum, free or reduced admission to lectures and programs, invitations to special events, and discounts on House Tour tickets and Museum Shop purchases. As a member you'll receive Historic Newton's newsletter and calendar of events. And you'll be helping preserve Newton's rich cultural history.
