Newton's Burying Grounds

Join Historic Newton!

The Newton Historical Society was founded in 1953 as The Friends of the Jackson Homestead. In 1982, The Friends became the Newton Historical Society, and are now a part of Historic Newton. Today Historic Newton plays an essential role in a public/private partnership between the City of Newton and the community.

Please join our efforts to preserve Newton history by becoming a member of Historic Newton. You'll enjoy a wide array of benefits -- free admission to the museum, free or reduced admission to lectures and programs, invitations to special events, and discounts on House Tour tickets and Museum Shop purchases. As a member you'll receive Historic Newton's newsletter and calendar of events. And you'll be helping preserve Newton's rich cultural history.

There are several categories of Historic Newton membership so that you can pick the one that best suits your needs:

  • Individual: $30
  • Family: $45
